On Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. PST, we will celebrate Nilla Lindgren, a long-time member of our Center. So many of us were blessed to know Nilla, her bright smile, and kind presence.

During this pandemic, we will be having an online service. Reverend Dr. Heather Clark will be opening and closing the celebration. Craig Duran, Nilla’s partner, and her sister Sylvia Lindgren will also share some thoughts about Nilla as well as many pictures.

All you need to do is click on the YouTube link to view the celebration live: https://youtu.be/eCWcZtpMkfE

Note: The service starts at 10 a.m. California time which is 1 pm eastern time and at 19:00 in Sweden on July 25, 2020. The goal will be to record the service for later viewing.

Linda Gunilla Lindgren
Born in Gothenburg, Sweden on October 7, 1953
Died peacefully in Houston, Texas on June 24, 2020, at the age of 66
She was loved by many and will truly be missed.

She Is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
