We Elevate Our Awareness into Pure Possibility

I’ve been exploring Transcendent Purpose—not a purpose defined by our jobs, relationships, or external conditions, but one that rises from Spirit itself. A few weeks ago, I wrote about how rest can be an act of resistance against grind culture, reminding us that our value and purpose won’t be found in constant doing. Let’s look at the next step: elevating our awareness so we can open to pure possibility.

Shifting the Lens

Awareness is more than just paying attention; it’s about choosing how and where we focus. Shawn Ginwright, in The Four Pivots, reminds us that transformation often requires a shift in attention. A pivot. When we get entrenched in old ways of thinking, we can’t see beyond them—like the story of Indigenous Natives who couldn’t see ships passing their shores because ships weren’t part of their reality.

Blind spots happen when we can’t see past our beliefs, judgments, or hurts. Elevating awareness asks us to try on a new pair of glasses, to look beyond the familiar lens. As Einstein put it: “Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them.

The Four Pivots to Elevation

Ginwright offers four powerful pivots that help us rise higher:

  1. From Lens to Mirror – Instead of projecting outward, we pause for self-reflection. What is life mirroring back to me?
  2. From Transaction to Transformation – Moving beyond “what can I get from you” into “how can I truly connect with you?” This is the heart of collective care.
  3. From Problem-Fixing to Possibility-Creating – Every challenge becomes an invitation to imagine something new.
  4. From Hustle to Flow – Releasing the grind and trusting Spirit’s rhythm, allowing us to catch the wave of energy moving through life.

Spiritual Practice: Where Science Meets Spirit

These pivots are not just ideas to think about—they are practices to embody. This is where prayer, meditation, affirmations, and compassionate action come in. Affirmative Prayer is one of the most elegant places where spirituality and science meet. Repeated thought patterns literally shape our experiences. When we change our patterns—when we pray, meditate, rest, and care for ourselves—we invite the Divine to rewire us.

Growing Deeper Roots

Just as plants need rich soil for roots to grow deep, our spiritual roots grow stronger when nourished by regular practice. The deeper our roots, the higher we can rise. Through prayer, meditation, kindness, and self-care, we let go of habitual patterns that no longer serve us and make ourselves available to possibility.

Daniel L. Morgan reminds us: “Our very nature is such as to keep us growing… we have a triple set of capacities—body, emotions, and intellect—to be utilized in this process of advancement.”

An Invitation to Pivot

This week, I invite you to embrace the pivots:

  • When you project outward—pivot to the mirror.
  • In your relationships—choose connection over transaction.
  • When facing a challenge—look for possibility instead of a fix.
  • And when tempted by the hustle—pause, pray, and trust the flow.

Spirit is always just a whisper away. Slow down. Pay attention. Elevate your awareness into pure possibility.
