A personal awakening to the Divine Presence in the early 80’s began Heather’s spiritual transformation from a professed agnostic to a life-long student of Spiritual Principles.
What gives her great joy is seeing people light up as they awaken to their spiritual magnificence. She loves to teach spiritual principles which give people tools for personal transformation. Sundays are her favorite days because she gets to talk about what she loves, listen to uplifting music and be surrounded by like-minded people.

creative arts minister, Rev. Karyn’s passion for art, music and movement
enliven all the activities at the Center. A gifted singer/songwriter, Rev.
Karyn can be found each Sunday at center stage leading the congregation in
songs and chants to open minds and hearts.

Juli Isola |
With an education in journalism, early childhood development, spirituality and photography, Juli Isola brings beautifully written insight into spiritual life accompanied by artistic photos for the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley’s blog.
She offers insight into her own parenting ups and downs as well as where she turns for spiritual insight and nourishment. Additionally, Juli documents her through pictures on her photography website www.juliisola.com.
When she’s not carpooling kids, Juli has a part-time, lifestyle-photography business specializing in families. She loves documenting a family’s real-life moments of love and joy and turning it into art. Many of her photo sessions take place on local beaches, her favorite place to play.

Vidette Vanderweide is an Author, Speaker and online TV Host in the area of lifestyle innovation. She is the author of the book, S.O.U.L. Mama – An Experience of Awakening, Creating a New Paradigm, and Living from the Soul.
As host of VidetteV TV, Vidette shares principles for busy moms to live by that will allow them to be “The most zen-ful mom they know.” With shows like “Modern Zen” and “Life Reinvented,” Vidette shares a realistic look at growing spiritually as an individual all while having dinner on the table by 6:00 p.m.!

Pattie Mercado |
Rev. Pattie Mercado’s bright smile, warm heart and caring wisdom bring joy to the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley’s youth ministry. She attracts children of all ages and guides parents at every stage of their parenting journey as the Center’s full-time youth director.
Rev. Pattie’s ministry provides toddlers through teens opportunities to know and deepen their connection with God and each other through play and practice.
On Sunday, you will find her at the center of a bustling youth room, but her spiritual vision reaches farther than the weekend service into Center-sponsored day camps, playgroups, parenting classes, socials and much more.
Rev. Pattie blogs her wisdom and insight regarding parenting, family and youth on Thursdays and again on Sundays as a wise and spiritually enlightened minister.
She’s gained much of her wisdom from raising her two, now adult, spiritually aware children. Rev. Pattie shares her home in Laguna Hills with her husband and soul mate, Fred.

Lisa McClure |
Witty and poignant describe Lisa McClure and her blog posts convey the same charm. She is a blogger, coder, copywriter and aspiring illustrator with an uncanny ability to intrigue people in only 140 characters or less.
Lisa works along side her husband and soul mate, Darin, in their business Ready To Go Information Technologies, a tech-based company that consults with small businesses, corporations and nonprofits on how to spread their message using the magic of the world wide web.
A romantic grounded in realism, Lisa holds a degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Vermont and is a certified Braille transcriber specializing in Foreign Language and Math books. She is a dedicated earth activist, believing that it is our moral obligation to keep the world safe for the next seven generations.
The generation she’s most dedicated to at the moment include her two daughters. She joined the ranks of motherhood later than most of her friends and finds herself continually amazed by the role. The journey offers her new insight into herself and reignites fond memories from her childhood, which she generously shares on the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley blog. Darin McClure brings this love of freedom to the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley. Brought up with New Thought Ancient Wisdom teachings and having read “Be Here Now” at age 12, Darin truly appreciates the master thinkers and often references historic talks and speeches in his blog posts to help the reader along this path.
Raised in Orange County, and living now in San Clemente, Darin shares his passion for liberty by teaching others how to use this electronic “new” media of blogging and digital photography to share the world with others and foster change along side his beautiful and equally witty wife, Lisa, in their business RTGit.
Darin is the proud dad of two beautiful daughters, Kate & Ella, an activist surfer and life long photographer who is passionate about freedom. His greatest demonstration to date is seeing the decommissioning of the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant.

Melissa Echelberger |
A busy mom with a passion for altruism describes Melissa Echelberger. In her twenties after the birth of her son, Melissa left law school to dedicate her time to raising her three kids, knowing in her heart that they would be her greatest legacy. But the passion for community activism never left, in fact, it intensified, leading Melissa to board positions with many local charities including Relay for Life, Courtney’s Sand Castle, The National Charity League, The San Clemente Junior Woman’s Club and many more.
Raised with Spiritual Principles herself, Melissa has a keen understanding of principle and teaches it to her children on a daily basis offering them the opportunity for different perspectives. As a blogger, Melissa let’s us into her musings and provides an undeniable argument for an expanded consciousness.
A genuine intellectual with a passion for truth, Melissa holds a degree in International Relations with a minor in Journalism from the University of Southern California. She lives in San Clemente with her three kids and husband and soul mate, David.
