Discipline is a spiritual practice in and of itself.  Living a spiritual lifestyle means letting go of all the thoughts, beliefs and actions that do not serve you, but recognizing them and committing to your own spiritual growth.

Simply committing to daily spiritual growth requires discipline.

We are about half way through the 21-Day journey to living a Spiritual lifestyle.  How are you doing?  Have you dedicated yourself to each day’s practice?  Where have you lost focus?

The beautiful thing about discipline is that, at any time, we can decide to get back on track and recommit to living a spirit centered life.

Today, I embrace thoughts and activities that bring me closer to a spirit centered life.  I commit to my own spiritual growth and take daily action to evolve a little each day.

Today’s Spiritual Principle:  Discipline

Quote:

“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.” Buddha

Affirmation:

Practice:

Simply notice today if you take the “easy” route and not commit to your spiritual practices.  What practice gives you the greatest challenge?  Journal about why this challenge exists and brainstorm possible solutions, recommiting to your goals for spiritual growth.

Practicing discipline also means committing to your own spiritual growth.
