Dr. Heather

“Teach and practice, practice and teach — that is all we have; that is all we are good for; that is all we ever ought to do.”Ernest Holmes

At the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley our ministers guide, inspire and teach the power of mind and natural law to create our perfect life and a world that works for everyone. Grounded in the teaching of principle and affirmative prayer, our ministers offer counseling, prayer support, inspiring talks and relatable insight into spirituality guided by new thought/ancient wisdom.

Dr. Heather Dawn Clark leads our spiritual community with modern-day insight and interpretation of spiritual texts and teachings including the Science of Mind textbook and the bible.

Dr. Heather Dawn Clark

Dr. Heather Dawn Clark, Spiritual Leader

Dr. Heather Clark serves as Spiritual Director of the Center in San Clemente, California. She was first licensed as a minister in 1992 serving as staff minister in the Calgary Center for a year. For the next six years, she served as senior minister in Bonita, California. She has served as a member of the Board of Education for four years, the Board of Directors for five years. She served on the Asilomar committee for five years. Dr. Heather passionately participated on the joint ICSL/UCSL Integration Committee. Dr. Heather received a Bachelor of Education in 1968 from the University of Saskatchewan and taught all grades, ages and abilities. A personal awakening to the Divine Presence in the early 80s was her motivation to find a like-minded community. With that in mind, she came upon a small independent New Thought Center and was a founding member of the first Science of Mind Center in Edmonton in 1985. Dr. Heather loves to teach the principles of the Science of Mind in clear, practical ways, engaging her students by drawing upon her rich knowledge of literature and sacred traditions to illustrate the concepts. Her strengths are faith, love, health, honesty and creativity. Dr. Heather takes her commitments seriously and takes herself lightly.
