Dear Ones,
As I write this article, there are many ideas vying for my attention - the election, the economy, the stock market on the national and international levels; here at the Center we are finishing our Adventure in Faith and our Pledge Program for 2009, getting new signage to match our new name and beginning the beautification of our Sanctuary. Personally, I am planning a new series of classes on the Law of Attraction, thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas activities and services and keeping a close eye on my personal spiritual practices.
Because our lives are rich with holiday traditions, for many our hearts are already wide open with thanksgiving and joy; for others this is a time of suffering or longing. Some people take the "Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt," approach to this time of year. As students of the Science of Mind, we come to realize that our life experience is determined by the choices we make. I invite you to make a different choice this year. Add to the good if you want or simply create something altogether different.
My theme for November is about Activating Creativity. What a great time to do this. Do you have dreams that you have deferred, postponed or denied? Maybe last January you had a powerful idea and you chose not to do anything with it. Now is the time.
While much of the nation is living in fear of the future, I encourage us to live where the Power is - in the present moment. Put the principles of creativity to work in your life now. Did you complete that vision board when Paula Ryan was here? If so, great! There is good for you and you should have it. If not, now is a perfect time to create the future of your highest dreams.
This is a time for us to be the people we came here to be - full of love for all people and optimism about life. We are the ones we've been waiting for. As Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." We have never lived these moments before, let's live them now with purposeful creativity and joy.
Love,
Heather
