Journey into the Mystery

Dear Ones,

What is Adventure In Faith? For some, this will be your first experience, for others, it may be ten or more years that you've participated in our annual program. Regardless of how many years you've participated, each year offers something new and exciting. Within each of us there is a reason and purpose for being. This ministry is dedicated to support the discovery of that purpose. When we choose to make a commitment, whether to ourselves, to another human being, or to our church, we step closer to our ultimate commitment: Unification with God, our Source.

Adventure In Faith is a seven-week Spiritual Growth Program beginning September 26, 2004. This year we are basing our theme for the Adventure on the book How To Know God: The Soul's Journey Into The Mystery of Mysteries by Deepak Chopra. Each week has a specific theme, which is the topic for the Sunday Service and Sacred Circles, and color, which many of us choose to wear to Sunday Service.

What do you believe to be true about your world, your reality, your life and your God? As we journey together over the next seven weeks you will begin to uncover the exact nature of your individual faith. As you go deeper into the mystery, you will become more aware and awake to the subtle presence of Spirit that is always around you. As an explorer, you are asked to be open, to be alert to surprises, to be ready for the unexpected, and to be prepared to stay together for the entire journey. Our journey may take us into unknown territory. Know that we are well equipped with faith and courage, and that we are guided on a trail that has been blazed by mystics and great spiritual beings before us.

An important part of your personal journey will be participation in one of our Sacred Circles. We will gather in small, home groups to pray together, to share our insights, and to reflect on Deepak Chopra's book, How to Know God: The Soul's Journey Into The Mystery of Mysteries. You are invited to join a group this Fall. No one need stand alone. The Sacred Circles meet for seven weeks. The small group discussion will enhance your understanding of the Sunday morning lesson and you will make new friends at a deep level. Come meet others on the spiritual path. We will explore together, we will pray and we will celebrate together.

Just imagine everyone in this ministry directed by determination, by purposefulness, by decisiveness...by the best in us! Our commitment is to teach, love and inspire everyone we touch to become all they are by unfolding the creation of God within. We seek to contribute to the transformation of the planet through transformation of the individual.
